Celebrating Kidney Day Protecting the Vital Organ

Kamalnayan Bajaj Hospital marked World Kidney Day with a series of awareness initiatives and recognition events. The program commenced with the honorable MP Sandipan Bhumre inaugurating the event in the presence of renowned doctors and healthcare professionals.

During the event, nurses excelling in their field were honored with certificates of appreciation. The hospital’s medical and nursing team performed a street play, spreading awareness about kidney health, emphasizing the importance of reducing salt intake, managing blood pressure and sugar levels, maintaining a balanced diet, and regular exercise.

A significant highlight of the event was the emphasis on free kidney transplant surgeries conducted at Kamalnayan Bajaj Hospital under government schemes, making expensive treatments accessible to those in need. The hospital has successfully performed over 1,200 kidney transplants to date.

MP Sandipan Bhumre praised the hospital’s trustworthiness and high standards of healthcare, recalling his personal experience of receiving treatment at Kamalnayan Bajaj Hospital and commending the dedicated doctors and staff.

Additionally, Dr. George Fernandes, CEO of Kamalnayan Bajaj Hospital, introduced the ‘Arogya Sahayog’ initiative, which offers free medical consultation and guidance from 8:00 PM to 8:00 AM to patients across the state, ensuring immediate medical assistance during emergencies.

The event concluded with a Walkathon, where participants actively promoted kidney health awareness.
