The Bone Marrow Transplant program is professionally managed by a dedicated team of Haemato-oncologists, Medical Oncologists, Radiation Oncologists, Surgical Oncologists, Onco-pathologists, Radiologists, Imaging Experts, Clinical Psychologists, Counsellors, Nurses, and other Support Staff.
All patients undergoing Bone Marrow Transplants have designated donors, and the growth of donor and cord blood registries, along with increased use of haploidentical Hematopoietic Cell Transplantation (HCT), ensures more patients have access to transplants. The timing of HCT is crucial, as research indicates that patients transplanted earlier in their disease achieve better outcomes compared to those with advanced disease. This underscores the importance of timely intervention in the transplantation process.
